Every year, when we are organizing UbuCon Asia, We usually try to provide some travel grant to select beneficiery. Of course, We do also acceptes applications this year. We’re closing travel grant applications a bit earlier this year. The deadline is April 28th. If you plan to attend UbuCon Asia this year, but need travel funding support from the committee as you can’t really raise travel funding by yourself or through your employer, college or other organizations, please don’t forget to apply on-time.

Greetings! We’re announcing today that we’re extending deadline for call for proposal until April 15th. If you were rushing into deadline for submitting your proposal, You now have some extra times to complete your submission. Due to Visa invitation process and travel grant process, there will be no further CFP deadline extension after April 15th.

If you need travel grant from the organizing committee, please also make sure to submit application before the CFP deadline. So that we can review your session proposal and travel grant application together and easily confirm your participation later.

We are happy to announce the call for proposals for UbuCon Asia 2025 is now open! Ubuntu Conference Asia (UbuCon Asia or UCA) are community-organized conferences for the Ubuntu community, bringing together contributors, enthusiasts, and users from all over the world. UbuCon Asia, in particular, is a regional event that focuses on the specific interests and needs of the Asian Ubuntu community.

This year’s event will be happening at St. Xavier’s College (SXC) Kathmandu, the heart city of Nepal.
