CFP & Travel grant for speakers now closed
With May begins, We’re now closing Call for proposals for this year’s UbuCon Asia. We have received many proposals with interesting topics for about past 7 weeks. Thank you everyone who submitted proposals! With that, we’re now also closing travel grant application for speakers. For those who submitted both proposal and travel grant application, We’ll review both together and inform you about the results later.
Content team alrady started reviewing submitted proposals. And will finish reviewing all proposals by May 15. During review period, reviewers from content team may leave comments on your proposals for asking some questions or to request to revise your proposals. Which would also give you email notification sent from noreply+events@canonical.com
. Don’t forget to check your inbox for such notifications and take actions if required.

Registrations now open!
We’re now also opening registration! You can register to attend today at https://2024.ubucon.asia/register! We have tickets available with wide range of options. Choose the ticket that works for you best.
For foreign participants, please note that your deadline for registration is May 30. This is becasue local team need to secure enough time to handle visa invitation for foreign participants who need visa to visit India.
For local participants, last date to register is vary by ticket type. Make sure to check registration deadline and don’t forget to secure a ticket for you.
Participants other then speakers can also apply for travel grant if needed. Deadline is May 30 which is a bit longer then speakers. and you may find details by clicking here. Note that other then Speakers(Talk, Workshop or Keynote) and Organizers who mainly contributes to the events, We ask other accepted beneficiery participants to share write-up of the event to thank those who provided travel grants and to inspire other people to join the community.
